Cardona’s photography gives voice to a difficult conversation regarding long lasting, strenuous US-Cuba relations, while also seeking to break away from a reductive and Americanized perception of life on the island.

The Photographer
Nikki Cardona is a Colombian-American Brooklyn based artist, analog photographer, and poet. Her work focuses on geographical and cultural narratives with an emphasis on self expression.
