In Events, Publishing

I recently had the pleasure of speaking on a panel at the Interference Archive called Publishing as a Tool of Resistance. It was moderated by Audrea Lim, journalist and former editor at Verso Books. Also on the panel were Jisu Kim, the Marketing, Sales, and Publicity Senior Manager at The Feminist Press, and Lindsey Shilleh, collective member and publisher at El Rebozo Palapa Editorial. (We featured El Rebozo in last month’s Community Spotlight—go read it!) The topics ranged from how radical, independent presses serve social movements to some of the more technical aspects of publishing.

We had a great time participating in the panel and are grateful to Common Notions for helping to organize the event. If you missed the panel, not to worry! It was filmed by our friend Nico Roxe, with additional still photography by Elektra KB also below. I hope you enjoy it!
