In Publishing, What's New?

Well, we’ve successfully made it through the first week of 2018 with only a bomb cyclone to speak of, instead of the other kind of bomb that has people kind of nervous. You know what that means? New year, new book! The first title in our recently expanded publishing program, AFTERMATH: Explorations of Loss & Grief, is due out in just a few months, and this is where things get really exciting.
The manuscript is nearly complete and the interior design will begin later this month. The book cover is also underway, and we’re excited about how it’s coming out. We’ve labored over typefaces and paper types and printing processes so many times, it’s become second nature to us. But that doesn’t make it any less fun. The great thing about being a commercial printer is having beautiful paper and ink combinations at our complete disposal!
We’ve got some great things planned for how this book is going to look, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
Excerpts on the Blog
Can’t wait until publication to read the stories in AFTERMATH? Well, you’re in luck! Starting next week, we’ll be posting excerpts of one story per month on our blog. It will be a small sampling of everything our thirty-three contributors have to offer!
Book Launch & Preorders
We are currently in talks with a venue to host our book launch and will post more details about that as they become available. If you’re looking to preorder the book ahead of the publication date, keep your eyes on our store in late January/early February.
Advance Reader Copies
Do you review books for your blog or printed publication? If you’re interested in seeing an advance reader copy of AFTERMATH, we would love to hear from you. Just shoot us an e-mail and let’s talk about it! We will be producing a limited number of printed galleys in addition to a PDF.
In the meantime, stay warm!
